Wisconsin Badagers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Badger women’s hockey team is once again heading to the NCAA Frozen Four after a 6-0 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday.
Kelly Gorbatenko recorded three goals on eight shots. Kirsten Simms added a power play goal. Lacey Eden and Adéla Šapovalivová also scored.
Cassie Hall recorded two assists.
Wisconsin scored twice in each period. Ava McNaughton made 17 saves to keep the Bobcats off the board.
The Badgers will take on Penn State in the Frozen Four semifinals on Friday, March 20th. The Nittany Lions defeated UCONN 3-0 in their Regional Final.
The other Frozen Four matchup will feature Ohio State and Northeastern. The winners advance to the National Championship game on Sunday, March 22nd.
