CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) — Wisconsin and Michigan went down to the wire in the Big Ten Conference Tournament Semifinals on Saturday, with the Wolverines coming out on top 68-65.
Austin Rapp led a balanced scoring effort with 18 points on 6-10 shooting from three-point range. Nick Boyd scored 14, John Blackwell added 13.
Wisconsin went 23-61 (38%) from the field. Of those 23 made field goals, 16 came from long distance.
Aday Mara scored 16 points to lead Michigan, who will play Purdue for the tournament championship this afternoon.
Wisconsin’s season is not over. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has the Badgers projected as a #5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The full field of 68 will be revealed this evening.
