Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers have lost for the first time this season, falling 3-2 to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Nick Fortes doubled in the winning run in the 9th off Trevor Meginn to bring in the winning run.
The Brewers had a baserunner in the bottom of the 9th, but failed to get a game-tying hit.
William Contrares gave the Brewers a 2-1 lead in the 6th on a long home run. Jonny DeLuca tied the game with a home run of his own.
The Brewers are 3-1 after opening the young season with a sweep of the White Sox. The Rays are now 2-2 this season.
Brandon Woodruff, 7-2 last year, pitches for Milwaukee tonight against Tampa. Game coverage begins at 6:05pm on WSAU.
