WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The city of Wausau is honoring Sarah Ruffi on what would have been her 58th birthday.
Hundreds of community members are leaving messages of condolences and sharing how she impacted them. That includes city leaders in Wauau, who said: “While she may be gone, her legacy as a lawyer, podcast host, mom, wife, author and motivational speaker lives on as she truly embodied the ‘Woman Warrior Lawyer’ spirit and provided us all with a great example of what it means to be a Wausonian.”
Earlier this month, Mayor Doug Diny declared March 31st as Sarah Ruffi Day in the city to honor her contributions to the community.
Her friends and family announced her passing on Sunday.
Ruffi was heavily involved in local organizations and multiple community events in addition to her work in the courtroom.
