BOSTON, MA (WSAU) — Jacob Misiorowski struck out 10 but allowed all three runs in Milwaukee’s 3-2 loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.
The young starter went 5.1 innings but lost his control in the 6th, walking three consecutive batters after starting the inning with a strikeout on fellow phenom Roman Anthony. DL Hall was called in to finish the inning and immediately gave up a bases-clearing double to Trevor Story. All three runs were charged to Misiorowski.
Hall induced two consecutive groundouts to end the inning. Milwaukee responded with two runs in the top of the 7th when David Hamilton was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score Joey Ortiz. Christian Yelich would follow that with an RBI groundout, bringing home Sal Frelick.
Milwaukee managed five singles from five players in the loss.
Game three of the series is Wednesday afternoon. Coverage begins at Noon on WSAU.
