MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers have squandered their good start this season with a 5-game losing streak.
Keibert Ruiz singled home two runs in the 8th to lead the Washington Nationals to an 8-6 win Sunday. It’s the Nats first swee of the Brewers since 2011.
Gary Sanchez had put the Brewers ahead with a 3-run home run in the 7th.
The Brewers bullpen struggled. Abner Uribe and Angel Zerpa allowed 4 runs. Zerpa (0-1) took the loss.
The Brewers, now 8-7 on the year, are off Monday. They begin a three-game home series with Toronto on Tuesday. Jacob Misiorowski (1-1) will pitch.
