MOSINEE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Multiple fire departments from around Marathon County responded to a fire at Crystal Finishing Systems Inc. Saturday evening. The fire was contained with no significant external damage, however the full extent of any damage to the interior remains unknown.
A Mosinee Fire Department official said the call came in at approximately 5:15pm. Smoke was seen rising from the metal fabrication facility’s north-east section. By 8:30pm all fire crews were cleared of the scene.
Officials say the cause of the fire has not been determined. No injuries were reported to any fire crews or Crystal Finishing personnel.
Responding fire departments included Mosinee, Kronenwetter, Riverside, SAFER, City of Wausau, Ringle, and Town of Hull. Further on-site assistance was provided by the Salvation Army and WPS.
