Desiree Osman
WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) — A Langlade County woman has entered a not guilty plea for one count of reckless homicide by delivery of drugs.
Desiree Osman is accused of providing the drugs that led Jon “Jake” Morgan to overdose in 2020. She’s also accused of hiding his body, a charge that carries a “party to the crime” modifier, meaning investigators believe she didn’t act alone.
Morgan went missing in the spring of 2020, leading to a wide-reaching search effort that included local and state agencies, the FBI, US Marshals, and INTERPOL. Osman was interviewed in the days following his disappearance and acknowledged that she may have been the last one to see him alive, but was otherwise “not forthcoming” with information, according to investigators.
In the years since, his family has maintained a “Help us find Jon/Jake Morgan” Facebook page, sharing photos and continuing to call for tips that could lead to a break in the case.
Further court action against the 31-year-old was not immediately scheduled. She remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.
