TOWN OF HOLWAY, WI (WSAU) — A three-vehicle crash involving a semi that was moving a house killed one person in the Taylor County Town of Holway early Saturday morning.
First responders were called to the scene on County Road O near Oak Drive for a report of a vehicle that had struck a moving house, then collided head-on with a pickup that was following the load. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Dylan Mickelson of Abbotsford, who died at the scene.
A passenger in his vehicle, 20-year- old Autumn Armatoski of Phillips, was transported for medical treatment. An update on her condition has not been given.
Investigators determined that Mickelson’s vehicle was heading east when it met the westbound semi. Mickelson’s vehicle clipped a corner of the structure and continued underneath the home. He then crashed into the pickup.
No other injuries were reported. The crash happened at about 3:15 AM.
No further information has been released, including whether speed or alcohol were involved.
