MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Texas Rangers, fighting for an American League wildcard spot, avoided a sweep against the Brewers Sunday, 7-4.
Ezequiel Durán was the big-bat for Texas, with a home run, a double, and 3 RBI.
Joe Pederson added a solo home run, as Texas snapped a four game losing streak.
Dustin May (6-9) took the loss for the Brewers, who couldn’t hold an early 2-0 lead.
The Brewers and Cubs begin a 4-game series Monday in Chicago. Kyle Harrison (10-3) pitches for Milwaukee at 6pm CT on WSAU. The Cubs begin play 8-games back in the NL Central after a 7-5 loss to the Reds on Sunday.
