BERLIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A man who went missing after failing to appear for a jury trial was found dead in Waushara County. Matthew Krause was found deceased Saturday from what appears to be a self-inflicted wound, according to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office.
Krause was reported missing Tuesday after he failed to show up for a jury trial in Green Lake County. Deputies received a call around 7:45 a.m. that day requesting a welfare check.
The 42-year-old was last seen in the Berlin area August 31 around 10:30pm. A warrant was issued through Green Lake County after Krause didn’t appear in court. He was listed as a missing person through Waushara County.
