Angela Volm
MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Marathon City woman accused of trying to have a man killed will go to trial for soliciting first-degree homicide.
Angela Volm was scheduled for a two-day trial on February 17th and 18th in a Lincoln County courtroom on Thursday. She’s accused of reaching out to a third party, asking them to make an ex-partner “disappear.”
That third person also accuses the 45-year-old of saying she would find someone to kill the victim or would do it herself. The victim, who has a child with Volm, also says she sent him threatening text messages.
Volm was initially held on a six-figure cash bond. That was reduced to $5,000 in late June, which has been posted. Her next court appearance is February 5th. If found guilty at trial, she faces more than 10 years in the state prison system.
