CONLEY COMMENTARY (WSAU) Kamala Harris campaigned in Milwaukee yesterday for David Crowley.
It’s curious that she’s here.
When she ran for President, she lost Wisconsin.
She is still considering whether to run again in 2028, so her personal positions on everything have not changed. She’s still a black-lives-matter, defund the police radical. She favors packing the Supreme Court. She favors trans-imates in women’s prisons. She favors male athletes in women’s sports. The Trump commercial from 2025, “She’s for they/them, He’s for us” still applies today.
None of those are popular issues. David Crowley doesn’t even want to talk about any of those topics.
Yet, there she is at a get-out-the-womens’-vote rally.
No woman anywhere is running off to the polls because Kamala said so. She’s a political celebrity without a following. And she continues to push a false narrative about herself: if only Joe Biden had dropped out earlier, she’d be president. Yet even she knows that’s untrue. The longer she stayed on the political stage, the less popular she was. Recall that she lost all seven battleground states, and her own internal polling said it was going to happen that way.
Wisconsin’s gubernatorial election will be a contest about turnout. There’s no political middleground between David Crowley and Tom Tiffany. The number of truly undecided voters can fit into a phone booth. The winner will be the candidate who gets more of their voters to the polls. The race will come down to this: are there enough Tiffany voters in the rest of the state to overcome the liberal landslide in Milwaukee and Madison.
We’ll find out one week from today.
