DORCHESTER, WI (WSAU) — A Friday morning crash has left one person dead in Marathon County.
According to a post on the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 13 and County Road A in the Village of Dorchester. An initial investigation of the crash determined a passenger vehicle was traveling east on County Road A and proceeded through a green light to make a left turn onto State Highway 13.
A semi-tractor and trailer traveling southbound on STH 13 proceeded through the intersection against a red light and struck the driver’s side of the passenger vehicle. The driver and lone occupant of the passenger vehicle 91-year-old Faye Amo was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-tractor was uninjured. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
