MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – 2,791 new cases of COVID-19 are being reported on Sunday by the Wisconsin DHS.
Sunday’s positivity rate was 26% after 10,564 test results were processed which is down from Saturday’s 35.9%.
The seven day case average fell to 3,925 Sunday after Saturday’s average of 4,073.
The DHS also reports 17 new COVID-19 related deaths. The total amount of deaths in Wisconsin is now at 3,719.
Wisconsin’s seven-day death average decreased slightly to 59 after reaching a record-high 60 on Saturday.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 2,608,899 people tested, 412,177 positive cases, and 2,196,722 negative results.
The DHS considers 348,995 patients to be recovered from COVID-19 and says 59,338 COVID-19 cases are active, 2,790 less than Saturday.
As of 11 a.m. Sunday, health officials say there are six patients getting care at the Alternate Care Facility at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
