Iowa State University researchers conducted studies on brain function and health. They took a look at health records for almost 2,000 adults in the United Kingdom. Some of the things they were looking at were what the subjects ate and drank, along with how the brain functioned as they got older.
The study found that your diet has a huge impact on brain functionality. Researchers say that daily consumption of alcohol (specifically red wine) and cheese can substantially help brain function, as well as eating lamb on a weekly basis.
The one factor they said can hurt long-term brain function is consuming too much salt.
