We are dangerously close to losing our nation.
Consider the collusion by multiple tech companies to shut off conservative speech.
Consider how these same companies stepped up their censorship within days of Biden being confirmed the winner. Maybe you’d argue that these are private companies, but these actions seem to show us being dangerously close to an oligarchy.
Consider that it is still illegal to meet in churches in some states and parts of states.
Consider that we’ve accepted that you do not control your body but rather it is owned by society for the benefit of society.
Consider that the elderly (the takers in a socialist system) are being isolated and abandoned in nursing homes until they wither away and die of loneliness, but we can feel good about it because it is “for their own good.”
Consider that government can call your job “non-essential” and cause your business to shut down, sometimes permanently.
Consider that government can put a covering over your face, interfering with human interaction, hiding human smiles, turning us into drones and automatons rather than individuals.
Consider that we have convinced people that destruction of private property is good as long as it is for social justice (can anyone say Portland?).
Consider that even a handshake, is somehow considered dangerous.
Need I go on?
Zoom is not evil. Masks are not evil. Vaccines are not evil. But everything I have seen over the last year has taken some good things to an extreme, treating them as idols. And by doing so, we have given up so much that has made America what it was founded to be, a shining city of freedom on a hill.
So how can we fight back?
I am resolved that I will in no way comply in any way with this evil.
I will accept no more zoom meetings. Want to talk with me? Then we will meet in person. Yes, I will still return phone calls as I have always done.
I will no longer pick and choose when I wear a mask. I simply will not do it, period.
I will not leave Facebook or Twitter though I will also have accounts with competitors who support freedom. They will have to kick me out to silence me.
And I will work to push back in the public sector until I am silenced there too.
