WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The city of Wausau will soon be looking for a new Fire Chief.
Tracey Kujawa will be retiring in April.
Kujawa came to Wausau from the Stevens Point Fire Department in 2014, where she also served as Fire Chief and was one of the first female firefighters in that department’s history.
Wausau’s Police and Fire Commission is set to meet early Monday morning to discuss the strategy for recruiting the city’s next Chief.
Wausau Mayor Katie Rosenberg confirmed Kujawa’s retirement in an email to WSAU News on Sunday. No reason for her retirement was given.
