MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A Tomahawk man now has two speeding tickets to pay off, just minutes apart from each other.
The 36-year-old was pulled over Tuesday evening along State Highway 64 in the Town of Pine River for doing 72 in a 55 MPH zone. The same officer then pulled him over a few minutes later along US 51 near Center Road. This time, the driver was zipping along at 98 MPH in a 65 zone.
He wasn’t the only driver cited for going close to 100 MPH on Lincoln County roadways last week, either.
On Thursday an 18-year-old Tomahawk man was cited for going 90 on County Road JJ near Merrill.
Two Illinois men were also caught going over 90 MPH on US 51 on Friday.
