WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Local residents are being asked for their thoughts regarding experiences with law enforcement in the area.
The Wausau Policing Task Force is beginning a public listening process to get feedback from city residents about their experiences with law enforcement. Starting February 1st and lasting until February 25th, the task force is looking for feedback that can be submitted in one of 6 ways.
Those six ways include: Attending an in-person listening event on February 18th in the John Muir Middle School auditorium following masking and social distancing protocols, attending a virtual listening session, submitting an anonymous feedback form, leaving a voice message at 715-261-1444, send an email or a written letter to Policing Feedback c/o WIPPS, 625 Stewart Ave. Wausau, WI 54401, or uploading a video or audio message online.
All public feedback for the Policing Taskforce will be collected by the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service (WIPPS) to keep feedback anonymous if desired. Participants are encouraged to describe their interactions with police; what they value about law enforcement; and what changes, if any, they would like to see with Wausau’s policing.
All feedback options and links to send in feedback can be found at WIPPS website.
