Ralph A. Bryant, 88, of Marshfield, made his journey to heaven on February 10, 2021, while residing at the Tomah VA Hospital in Tomah, WI.
Ralph was born on July 9, 1932, the son of Ernest and Madeline (Peterson) Bryant. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Donna Mae Lohrman, on August 6, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt, WI.
Ralph served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-1954 during the Korean war, stationed in Alaska. He had many memories of his time in Alaska and spoke about them often. Ralph was an honest, hard working man who worked at the Rollohome Corporation in Marshfield for 28 years and Wisconsin Homes for 10 years. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He was a passionate gun sportsman all his life, and enjoyed hunting and target practice with his children and grandchildren. Ralph was known for his restorative talent of vintage John Deere and Farmall tractors. He spent many hours bringing favorite old John Deere tractors back to glory and many friends would stop by to see his projects. He also enjoyed airplanes and loved to go on smaller airplane rides with family members. He was a strong man who always looked out for his family.
Ralph is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Donna, and four children, Randall (Sharon) Bryant, Linda (Joseph) Scholzen, David (Laurie) Bryant, and Sandra (Greg) Kops. He will be greatly missed by his six grandchildren, Jeff (Melissa Vitort) Bryant, Mark (Krista) Bryant, Jeremy (Heather) Kops, Alyssa Scholzen, Melanie (Larry Stuttgen) Kops and Jacob Bryant; and four special great-granddaughters, Savana, Evelyn, Sydney, and Sorrel. He is also survived by a sister, Alma Benzschawel; and brother, Gerald Bryant. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Madeline Bryant; a grandson; a brother, James Bryant and two sisters, Darlene Ulrich and Beverly Kortner.
