WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A Wood County man will spend five years behind bars for his role in the death of his child.
Allen Rice was found guilty of moving, hiding, or burying the corpse of a child in December of 2020 during a plea deal. Rice was originally facing two charges including resisting or obstructing an officer. The second charge was dismissed but read in during the plea hearing back in December.
In 2019, Rice and Marylinn Feher were charged after police say their newborn baby was found tied up in a blanket and plastic bag in the Marshfield Medical Center parking lot. Feher was found guilty of killing the newborn and sentenced to spend life behind bars with a chance of parole on December 2nd, 2020.
A Judge sentenced Rice to 8 years within the Wisconsin prison system. Rice will spend 5 of those years behind bars and 3 years on extended supervision with a credit of 638 days already served.
