SUN PRAIRIE, WI (WSAU) — A Sun Prairie man has died after his pickup crashed into a pizza restaurant on Saturday morning.
Police were called to Ann’s Pizzaria where they found the vehicle inside the building, with the driver still behind the wheel.
The unidentified man was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Officers say it appears the man may have suffered a medical incident just before the accident. The first report of the crash came in at around 6:45 AM. No one else was in the building at the time of the accident, and the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The owner of Ann’s Pizzaria told 27 News in Madison that their hearts go out to the family of the man who died. The business will be closed for the foreseeable future while repairs are made.
