NEKOOSA, WI (WSAU) — Amy Chulin-Carpenter, the woman accused of shooting a Nekoosa man earlier this month, is expected to be formally charged Thursday in Wood County.
The 50-year-old is set to appear in court at 1:30, according to online court records. Officers say she was intoxicated when she shot and injured a 63-year-old man inside a home on Cranmoor Road.
She’s expected to be charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse modifier along with one count of operating a handgun while intoxicated.
The victim of the shooting was hospitalized in stable condition shortly after the incident. An update on their condition has not been given.
