ERIE, PA (WSAU) — The 2nd ranked Wisconsin women’s hockey team advanced to the NCAA Championship game with a 4-2 semi-final win over Ohio State on Thursday night.
The 3rd line was the catalyst in this one with all three players scoring goals. Caitlin Schneider, Makenna Webster and Casey O’Brien all scored. Daryl Watts had an empty netter to secure the win.
Kennedy Blair had 37 saves.
The Badgers will make their ninth NCAA Championship appearance and third in the last four tournaments. The Badgers will face #1 seed Northeastern at 6:30 on Saturday night.
