MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Tuesday saw a jump in new COVID-19 cases and deaths in Wisconsin.
The state Department of Health Services is reporting 815 new cases, which represents 23.7% of the 3,432 test results processed.
That’s more than double Monday’s case count of 367.
The state also reported an additional 17 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 595,864 confirmed cases, over 2.8 million negative test results and 6,773 deaths.
The DHS considers 579,972 patients to be recovered from COVID-19, or 97.4% of all confirmed cases.
