EAU CLAIRE, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP baseball team swept a DH at UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday to keep a hold on the WIAC lead. The scores were 2-1 and 10-6.
Tommy Duddleston and Quin Henwood had four hits each on the day. Bradley Comer and Payton Nelson had three hits each.
Casey Pickering picked up the win in Game 1 with seven strong innings. Austin Syvertson won game 2 in relief of Nick Carpenter.
The Pointers, now 20-7, 15-3 in WIAC, play another DH on Saturday at 1pm in Stevens Point.
The UWSP softball team split a home DH with UW-Platteville on Wednesday. The Pointers took game 1 9-1 and lost game two 3-0.
Maddie Candre had four hits on the day. Lauren Luedtke and Sara Traxel had three hits each.
Makenna Tkach tossed a complete game to earn her 13th win of the season.
The Pointers, now 18-13, will play a DH at River Falls today at 1pm
