PHILADELPHIA, PA (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers dropped another one run game with a 6-5 loss Tuesday night at Philadelphia.
Four of the six Phillie runs were unearned as the Brewers defense struggled for the second straight night. All four of those runs came in a five run fifth inning.
Jackie Bradley Jr, hit his 3rd home run of the season and had 2 RBIs. Luis Urias, Daniel Vogelbach, & Lorenzo Cain had the other RBIs.
Andrew McCutcheon had two solo homers for the Phillies and Brad Miller hit a three run shot.
Eric Lauer went six innings giving up eight hits, six runs (two earned) with seven strikeouts and took the loss.
The two teams square off again tonight with Freddy Peralta going up against former Brewer Chase Anderson. Pre game at 5:30 on WSAU.
The Brewers also announced that Christian Yelich was going back on the IL with his balky back problems. Craig Counsell said the problem returned after Yelich played on Monday night although MRIs are not showing what is causing the back pain.
Tyrone Taylor made a quick return from the Alternate Training site to replace Yelich on the roster.
