MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — Quick action by a homeowner may have kept a house fire in Mosinee from getting out of control Tuesday evening.
According to a Facebook post by the Mosinee Fire District, crews were called to the home at around 8:30 to find the owner working to contain the fire with help from the Mosinee PD.
Three engines along with support vehicles were brought in to quickly extinguish the rest of the blaze.
Due to the quick action, the Mosinee Fire Department was able to cancel its auto aid request from other departments including Kronenwetter and SAFER. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
