MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A three-RBI day from Daniel Vogelbach and nine collective hits from the top three batters in the lineup helped the Milwaukee Brewers to a 10-9 win over the Atlanta Braves Sunday to end a three-game losing streak.
Kolten Wong, Omar Narvaez, and Lorenzo Cain combined for nine hits, five runs, and three RBI at the top of the lineup. That included an RBI double by Narvaez in the 4th.
Vogelbach opened the scoring with a two-RBI double in the 3rd. He also brought home Cain on an RBI groundout in the 6th.
Freddie Freeman recorded a grand slam in the 7th for Atlanta.
Freddy Peralta earned the win on the mound for Milwaukee. Josh Hader picked up his 9th save of the season.
After going through a 17-day stretch of games between April 23rd and May 9th and 23 games in 24 days between April 23rd and Sunday; the Brewers will play just two games in the next four days. They’re off on Monday to travel to Kansas City for an interleague battle with the Royals on Tuesday and Wednesday. Another travel day is built-in on Thursday before a weekend set in Cincinnati against the Reds starts on Friday.
