MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Nearly 5 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Wisconsin.
The latest numbers from the state Department of Health Services Friday showed 2,698,327 people, or 46.3% of the population, having completed their vaccination series.
The state also reported 406 new cases or 11.3% of the 3,571 of the people tested.
Eight more people died of COVID-19.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 607,992 confirmed infections and 6,986 deaths. DHS lists 594,186 people as having recovered from COVID-19.
