WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A semi caught fire Tuesday evening on Highway 29.
According to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, the eastbound ramp at County Road O reopened around midnight as firefighters put out the flames.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported around 11pm Tuesday. The semi cab separated from the trailer, and the fire was contained to the cab itself.
A news crew from WAOW-TV arrived about a half-hour later and saw no flames, but plenty of smoke as fire crews were working to make sure the fire was out.
The cause of the fire isn’t known.
