MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin continue to fall.
New confirmed cases of COVID-19 fell to a seven-day average of 121. That is the lowest level since March 29, 2020. DHS reported 135 new cases on Thursday. DHS reported one new confirmed and one new probable death on Thursday, with the seven-day average at two.
Nearly half of Wisconsinites 45 and older have completed their coronavirus vaccine series as numbers of new cases continue to decline. The state Department of Health Services reported 49.8% of people in the 45-54 age group were fully vaccinated as of Friday. Older age groups were well over the 50% mark. Overall, 48.9% of state residents have received at least one dose and 43.8% have completed their vaccine series. The state has seen 5,330,836 total doses administered.
