(Reuters) – Tropical Depression Two is expected to become a tropical storm by Monday night, although it is expected to become a post-tropical low and dissipate on Wednesday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
The depression is located about 200 miles (320 km) east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles (55 km) per hour, the NHC said.
