UPDATED: RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU-WXPR) An armed and dangerous suspect remains at large after a woman was found dead on the side of a road near Rhinelander on Wednesday.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said Christopher Terrell Anderson, 30, is the suspect in the case. He remains at large.
The Sheriff’s Office had gotten a 911 call around 11am reporting a woman lying on the side of River Bend Road near Highway 8, just east of Rhinelander. The Sheriff’s Office said she died of a “firearm injury.”
A preliminary investigation pointed police to a suspect, Anderson, and a vehicle, which is a white 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser with Minnesota license plate 187 NXC.
The Sheriff’s Office believes he’s changed cars, and is now driving a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Wisconsin plate AJR9672.
Police are asking people to call 911 or 715-361-5201 if they see Anderson or the vehicle.
