WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Friends and Family of Jim Dolphin are asking for help in covering his final expenses through a GoFundMe campaign.
The 63-year-old drowned during a fishing outing on the Wisconsin River last week. His capsized boat was found north of Wausau, and another fisherman recovered his body near Gilbert Park.
As of Tuesday morning, the campaign has raised just over $600. They’re asking for up to $5,000.
He was a very generous man, loving, and always willing to help anyone the minute they asked. Our family will be very grateful for any donation to help towards his sudden end-of-life expenses,” said his family in a post on the fundraiser’s page.
Dolphin leaves behind three sons and six grandchildren. To donate, click here.
