MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks added another shooter to the roster on Friday as they traded Sam Merrill and two future 2nd round draft choices to the Memphis Grizzlies for Grayson Allen.
Badger fans will remember Allen as having 16 points in a Duke win over Bucky in the 2014-15 NCAA title game. He also had a checkered college career with several tripping incidents that led to a one game suspension by Coach Mike Krzyzewski.
He also is coming off a good season averaging 10.6 PPG and shot 39% on three point tries. He scored 26 against the Bucks in a Memphis victory April 17th.
Allen is heading into the last season of his rookie contract and will make $4 million.
