MADISON, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — The University of Wisconsin-Madison is giving millions of dollars in federal pandemic relief money back to students.
The university announced this week that it has more than 28-million dollars in Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding from the federal government. The funds were part of the American Rescue Plan authorized by Congress back in March.
School officials say more than seven- million dollars in automatic payments have already gone out to roughly 65-hundred eligible students.
