MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Summerfest is returning to the summer in 2022.
Organizers of the annual outdoor music festival announced they will hold the event over three weekends next year beginning June 23rd-25th. Shows will return June 30th through July 2nd and wrap up July 7th-9th.
Organizers also announced that they will be holding a fan appreciation event this Saturday, where the first 30,000 people through the gates will get a free ticket to next year’s event.
Summerfest was moved from its usual late June-early July window to September in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was canceled altogether in 2020 along with many other large gatherings.
