MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU)– The Milwaukee Brewers rallied with four runs in the 8th inning and topped the Chicago Cubs 8-5 on Friday night at American Family Field.
The Brewers trailed 5-4 going into the 8th and it all happened with two outs. Lorenzo Cain tied the game with a single. Kolten Wong had a two run single and a wild pitch added another run.
Wong was 3-5 with two RBIs and Luis Urias had two hits and 3 RBI in the victory.
Aaron Ashby picked up the win in relief and Josh Hader notched his 32nd save.
With the victory the Brewers magic number to clinch the division is 4 and to clinch a playoff spot is 2. They face the Cubs again today…pre game show at 5:35 on WSAU.
