GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — He hasn’t played a down for the Packers this year, and it doesn’t appear he will.
Jace Sternberger is set to be released by the club today, according to a report from NFL Network. The Tight End missed the first two games of the season as part of a suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, neither league officials nor the team elaborated further on the situation.
Sternberger was a third-round draft choice by Green Bay in 2019 out of Texas A&M. In two years as a Packer, he recorded 12 receptions for 114 yards and one TD.
