MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers welcomed back some old friends for a pre-game ceremony on Friday at American Family Field.
Carlos Gomez, Yovanni Gallardo and Francisco Rodriguez were inducted into the teams Wall Of Honor .
Gomez also signed his retirement papers as a Brewer on Friday officially ending his 13 year MLB career. Gomez was a two time All-Star for Milwaukee and will always be remembered for scoring the winning run in Game 5 of NLDS vs Arizona in 2011. He also was part of the trade that netted the Brewers Josh Hader and Adrian Houser.
Gallardo was a 2nd round pick of the Brewers in 2004 and was one of the teams best pitchers during his eight years with the major league club. He was 89-64 for the Brewers with a 3.69 ERA and made the All-Star team in 2010.
Rodriguez had 95 saves with a 2.91 ERA in five Brewer seasons. He made the All-Star team in 2013 & 2014.
