WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A man who had already spent time in prison on child porn charges has changed his plea to some newer charges in Marathon County Court.
Travis Errthum is facing 13 new counts that were filed in 2019 after a search of his computer and cell phone found sexually explicit videos and photos of young girls.
The 49-year-old had previously spent 10 years in prison on child porn charges from 2008.
According to his attorney, Errthum has changed his plea from guilty to guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. He says he has an addiction to young girls.
Judge Greg Huber ordered a psychiatric examination and Errthum remains in custody as the case proceeds. He’ll return to court on November 24th for a calendar call.
