OWEN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — There was a home invasion in Owen early Thursday morning.
According to police, a woman said a person entered her home around 1:30 in the morning. She heard the person going through her drawers while she was in bed. When she confronted the suspect, she said they tried to suffocate her with a pillow.
The woman’s daughter then came into the room, and that’s when the suspect fled.
She reported the incident to the police at about 8:30 this morning.
The suspect is said to be a male, about 5-foot-5 with a thin build. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and active. More information will be released to the public when it’s available.
