CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) — The 203rd all-time meeting between the Bears and Packers went to Green Bay thanks to a three-touchdown performance from Aaron Rodgers leading his squad to a 24-14 win Sunday afternoon.
Rodgers finished the game 17/23 for 195 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while rushing for a third score.
Aaron Jones and Allen Lazard each caught a touchdown from Rodgers, while Davante Adams was the leading receiver with 89 yards. Adams appeared to hit paydirt on in the 4th quarter but was ruled out of bounds at the Bears 21, turning what would have been a 62-yard touchdown reception into a gain of 41.
Rodgers would cap that drive off two plays later with a five-yard rushing TD that put the game on ice.
After the Bears turned the ball over on downs the following drive, Rodgers would kneel the game out in victory formation.
Dean Lowery led the defense with four solo tackles, one assist, and one sack. Kenny Clark added three tackles and two sacks. Darnell Savage recorded one interception on Bears rookie QB Justin Fields.
Green Bay improves to 5-1 on the season and has now won five in a row after losing in Week One. Chicago falls to 3-3, in a tie with the Vikings for second place in the NFC North. The Packers host the Washington Football Team next Sunday at noon. Pregame coverage begins at 10 AM on WSAU.
Betting Lines: Green Bay entered the game as a five and a half point favorite and beat the spread. The over/under was 44 points, under hits
