DULUTH, MN (WSAU) — The #1 ranked Wisconsin womens hockey team topped Minnesota-Duluth 5-4 in overtime on Sunday.
Casey O’Brien scored 23 seconds into the OT on a feed from Daryl Watts for the win.
Sarah Wozniewicz scored twice for the Badgers with the other goals going to Maddi Wheeler and Nicole LaMantia.
After being outshot 9-1 in the first period the Badgers outshot the Bulldogs 35-18 for the rest of the game.
The Badgers, now 8-0, will host Ohio State on Saturday and Sunday
The #3 ranked Wisconsin volleyball team won it’s 7th straight match with a 3-0 whitewash of Michigan on Saturday in Ann Arbor. The scores were 25-23, 25-15 & 26-24
Julia Orzol had 14 kills to lead Wisconsin. Dana Rettke had 12 and a team best .500 hitting percentage.
Lauren Barnes had 13 digs.
The Badgers, now 15-1, 7-1 in Big Ten, will host Ohio State on Friday and Penn State on Saturday.
The Wisconsin womens soccer team dropped a 1-0 match at Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. The Cornhuskers broke a 0-0 tie with a goal in the 83rd minute.
Wisconsin, now 8-4-4, 3-3-2 in Big Ten, will host Ohio State on Wednesday .
