WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) — The Hadleys have said goodbye to their business after decades of success.
Hadley Office Products has been sold to Complete Office of Wisconsin in Germantown as part of an agreement that will keep their staff with the company. Their retail store will close at the end of the year.
Mark and Deb Hadley, 65 and 62, have suffered losses of veteran staff in recent years and are heading into retirement. Their youngest son, Mark, will continue with Complete Office.
Mark took over Hadley Office Products in 1977 from his father and has built the business into a local anchor for office furniture, supplies, and machines. Their copier sales and service branch was sold earlier this year to Marco Inc. and that drew the interest of Complete Office to the rest of the business.
The new owners are intending at expanding their business in central Wisconsin, though to what extent isn’t certain yet. The Hadleys intend to remain active in the Wausau community, particularly with their sponsorship of local little league baseball.
