WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Closing Arguments are in the books in the murder trial of Cindy Schulz-Juedes.
Court records show the day started with the closing arguments from the State and a request by Schulz-Juedes Attorney Earl Gray for a mistrial, which was denied by Judge Michael Moran.
The court was then recessed at 10:40 AM and 20 minutes later the defense made their final plea to the jury. Closing arguments and rebuttals lasted until about 12:45.
The jury was then given final instructions and went into deliberations just before 2 PM. It’s unclear when they will return with a verdict.
Schulz-Juedes is accused of one count of first-degree intentional homicide and faces a mandatory life sentence if found guilty. Investigators say she shot her husband in 2006, her defense has tried to pin the crime on a group of five other men. One of those men testified on Monday- ‘Butch’ Patrick Lilley- the child star who played Henry Munster on the TV show “The Munsters”- said he found out about his supposed involvement in the case through a tabloid headline.
The case was originally scheduled to run through November 12th. Tuesday marks Day 12.
This is a developing story and will be updated as the day goes on.
