SCHOFIELD, Wis (WSAU-WAOW) A local supermarket is changing owners. The parent company of Trigs — T.A. Solberg Co. of Minocqua — is buying Quality Foods IGA in Schofield. They’ve told WAOW-TV that their plan is to convert it into a full service Trig’s grocery store.
The change-over will happen by the end of the month. The store will operate as Quality Foods until Sept. 27 and reopen as Trig’s the next day.
It will be the second Trigs in the Wausau area, joining the other location on the city’s west side. Trigs also operates grocery stores in Stevens Point, Eagle River, Rhinelander, and Minocqua.
Two IGA Quality Foods remain in our area – in Rib Mountain and the east side of Wausau.
