MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team started the season with a 76-50 win over D-3 UW-Whitewater Friday night at the Kohl Center.
Sophomore Steven Crowl had 18 points and six rebounds for the Badgers. Brad Davison had 11 points and Tyler Wahl added 10.
Derek Gray led Whitewater with 17 points.
The Badgers will host St.Francis-Brooklyn on Tuesday November 9th.
The Wisconsin mens hockey team upset #2 Michigan 4-2 on Friday night at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor.
Badger goals went to Caden Brown, Tarek Baker, Max Johnson and Brock Caufield. Sam Stange had two assists for Bucky. Cameron Rowe had 32 saves.
The Badgers, now 3-5, 1-1 in Big Ten, will host Minnesota on Nov 5-6.
The #1 ranked Wisconsin womens hockey team stayed unbeaten with a 2-1 win over Minnesota State in Mankato.
Daryl Watts and Makenna Webster had the Badger goals. Kennedy Blair had 14 saves.
Wisconsin is 11-0 to start the season and has won 17 straight games dating back to last year.
The two teams will play again this afternoon at 2pm.
The Wisconsin mens cross country team won the Big Ten Conference Championship on Friday at Penn State. Sophomore Bob Liking won the individual title for the Badgers with Wisconsin’s Olin Hacker finishing 2nd.
The Badgers won their 52nd Big Ten Championship -more than all the other schools combined.
Wisconsin will next compete in the NCAA Regionals on Nov 12th in Evansville Indiana.
The Wisconsin football team hosts Iowa today. It’s homecoming in Madison and you can hear the game on WSAU…pre game show at 9am.
